What we collect

• Information you give us: name, contact details, and documents needed to verify your identity and your right to a surplus claim (e.g., proof of ownership or heirship).
• Public records: surplus/excess-proceeds records from county and court sources.
• Site/usage data: basic technical logs (IP address, device/browser) for security and to operate the site.

Why we collect it

Only to research, verify, prepare, and file your surplus-recovery claim, and to communicate with you about it. We practice data minimization — we collect only what a claim actually requires.

How we protect it

Encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, and access auditing. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with: the county, court, or auditor holding your funds (to file your claim); service providers under contract who help us operate and are bound to protect your data; and where required by law. Never with data brokers or advertisers.

Retention

We keep your personal information only as long as needed to complete your claim plus the minimum period required by law, then delete or anonymize it.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, and you may revoke your authorization and cancel at any time (see our Terms of Service and your Agreement).
